Plants arrived in good condition.

What WAS it?
Both plants had half-dead tops and had to be pruned back to what was
good. Also, one of the "balls fella apart and revealed a barely-rooted 3"
pot-sized mass that looked like it had recently been upsized into the larger
container. As an OLD horticulturist, I don't really know what to say about
it all. Oh, and the multitude of noted plastic bags around the stems made
it difficult to unpack the plants. In spite of the above, the two ARE alive at
this point. JCW

A decent tree
I bought 1 juneberry, 3 pawpaws, and 1 blueberry and a week after I planted them we had a night of frost overnight. I covered the blueberry and it seemed to do fine. The juneberry I didn't cover bc it's somewhat protected in my yard-- I don't know if it was from the cold or what, but of it's 3 main branches only 1 has leaves now. I'm still hoping the rest will grow back.
The pawpaws are still somewhat TBD. One of them is definitely leafing, one I might see some buds along the side, and one is either still dormant or dead. I'll wait to see what happens next week when we have 70s all week.
