Ultra Compact Water Softener

Bought this to replace my ~20yr old water softener also bought from the East Midlands Water Company; which worked without fail all those years. Have changed the kitchen so time for a new unit. The softener was delivered very quickly, it arrived safely, no damage and was very well packaged in a large cardboard box. The unit is well made, looks and feels good quality. The only downside is the water connections are the o-ring push fit type and you connect the supplied bypass valve arrangement to the back of the unit. Unfortunately this increases the depth so that the unit will not fit in the same way as my old unit. I don't need the bypass valve connection as I already have a plumbed bypass. If I could remove this bypass and connect directly to the unit it would be more compact and a neater installation. Otherwise pleased with my purchase. I haven't tried it yet, it was only delivered yesterday, but I'm confident it will give many years of service. After 5 weeks we are very much missing the soft water.

Perfect replacement for our defunct softener

The machine fits perectly into a space inside a window seat, made for the previous softener. It really is the smallest compact machine we could find! It was easy to fit into the existing plumbing and is working well so far. It is easier to control as it is automatic and does not need a timer switch 9which needed resetting every time there was a power cut. We would never have found this without the wonderful help given by the East Midlands Water Company staff member who gave us real help and good advice. Thank you
