Better than expected

Oh wow so I purchased this so I could add it to my necklace given that is a Paperclip necklace and therefore I can’t fit a charm unless I have a connector like this, well I have yet to purchase an actual charm, can’t decide on what I want, any way I was wearing the necklace with this connector to work one day after a weekend so I didn’t remove my necklace, normally don’t wear jewelry to work, well at the end of the day I touched my necklace and the charm connector was not there! I instantly panicked, this was maybe the first day wearing it, after the weekend too and first time to work, thankfully we were all standing there waiting to clock out and my coworkers helped me looked for it and we found it, but why did it open on its own? And not even having a charm attached yet, so now I’m scared to even attach a charm to it.
