Very good for moderate loads even on carbon stays
I didn't think it would be okay for carbon stays for moderate about 10 lb or so load. The only thing I would recommend really is the bolts that hold the height of the arms need to be locked tighted and tightened down really tight as well as the area under them needs to be wrapped with a little piece of gorilla tape and then electrical tape over a quarter to protect the seat stays, just in case. For any really heavy items in your bike rack pack I would use something like old man mountain racks. The problem with those are even though they're super super sturdy is they mount to your through axle and it's VERY hard to change a flat with those racks mounted. The Areo is rated at 35 lb but I certainly would not go that high on carbon stays. I would max out it around 15lbs.
