With the laser fixed to the cobot’s end effector and pointed downward, the robot’s programmed motion leaves a visible exposed trail on the paper, enabling the precise “drawing” of shapes—squares, circles, Lissajous figures, and more. This setup is especially well suited for high-school computer science and robotics courses, offering a safe, engaging platform for teaching motion planning, kinematics, and programming. With safety in mind, students should wear UV-protective goggles and the cobot should be equipped with an accessible emergency stop.
