South Texas to Antarctica

My purchase of this long sleeve Merino wool top, plus several other base layer pieces was specifically for an upcoming trip to Antarctica. I wasn’t expecting to need it in south Texas where I live. Unexpected winter storm with below freezing temps earlier in the month, gave me a great tryout opportunity. The merino base layers were perfect! I even wore the same pieces three days in a row to make sure they would not smell. Washed them by hand in cold water with a-bit of Woolite in a 2 gal. zip lock, out to dry. And by the way the Nordic long sleeve top is super cute! No doubt they will work perfectly for Antartica.

Lightweight but warm

I purchased a size medium top. It fits just right. Not too tight but skims the body. For reference, I’m 5’7” and 170 lbs and I carry more weight in my lower half.

A nice underlayer or worn as the top sweater look layer!
