The Redington grande 14+ is a beast of a fly reel and is exceptional value for the price point. The finish is excellent with a very tough and robust build. The drag is excellent with a huge amount of stopping power close to 40lbs as independently tested. My primary reason for purchasing this reel is for dredging flies on fast sink lines in tropical waters to depths of 30metres to pursue powerful saltwater predatory fish such as GT,s Cobia, mackeral, jobfish, saddle tail sea perch and dogtooth tuna. Excellent value for money.
