Boxer Briefs 170, almost but not quite

I purchased several of the Merino 170 boxer briefs on a sale, figuring I would roll the dice because I had never heard of this company. After receiving them, I have found that the quality is noticeably lower than established brands, like Smart Wool, and the fit was not quite right for me. After a day of wearing them, the material has loosened up and is not hugging my legs anymore, so they are slightly more akin to regular boxers, which are prone to riding up your leg. These seem to have been designed for people who have flat butts because there is not enough material in the seat and causes the waistband in the back to sit lower than is comfortable. The perk is that after wearing them some time they have stretched out and flat-butt-cut is less of a problem. I can appreciate how one flaw fixes another but I'm not going to reward it. I would five star recommend these for a person who has a flat butt and wants a soft Merino product for a low price. I am going to give it three stars because it does not fit me well and I don't trust that these will not bunch up and give me major wedgies on a long hike.
