The Bijou Fountain Pen - Catnip Café

Trash Bin in its future it is scratchy and runs dry with FWP ink in it. I think a Jinhao offers slightly better performance for the nib and feed. the barrel is too thin and the bolt thingy highly impractical if you want to put it in your pocket. This is a purse pen unintended perhaps for male persons...the bolt and all it seemed more robust than it truly was in my experience. They have a $22 much cheaper pen Carousel that will be kept and used its actually better in my opinion though the two pens seem like the nibs are pretty much the same the price is all about the bodies. I also had a bad experience having to pay US local/federal/state taxes at time of sale and duties and canadian taxes or dhl refused to deliver because FWP failed to do the paperwork and remit taxes. Stick with a reputable seller from the UK and you wont have these hassles or buy from a Canadian retailer only I suppose.

This Catnip cafe Bijou fountain pen is so gorgeous. The dark green body looks so fancy. I really like how slim it is but has some weight to it. All of the golden accents are so fun to look at. They did such a great job with engraving as well. I like using fine nibs because I write very small. I use pocket planners and journals. And the nib size of this Bijou is perfect for me. The nib design is so detailed. I've never seen such an intricate engraving on a pen, it looks like a piece of art to me. Pen itself works great, no skipping, leaking or scratching. I paired this fountain pen with Twinkling tea party ink and a green A&O notebook. It's such a great combo! I highly recommend this pen!

Very elegant looking pen that writes well. The ink I purchased with this pen shades nicely. After having not used it for a few days it writes immediately. The fine nib is what you would expect. It has a slightly wet nib, which is what you need to make the Ferris Wheel ink shade and it performs beautifully.
