Single 2" Bits

Fix It makes great products. The metal is stout when others snap off. This bit, however, does not meet expectations. The bit is too shallow to use on screws for Sig Sauer optics. Use it on these screws, and you will strip the head. The design of the original bit is much better and goes deeper into the screw head. But, due to the short shank, you have to angle it away from the optic. You have to be very careful with screw removal as a result.

Good for general use, inadequate for optic mounting screws with beveled screw heads. The issue is the blade on the bit. On the one with a 2-inch shank, the blades are slightly bigger and a bevel starts much sooner than with the small shank bits. Bottom line is the 2-inch shanked bit will not go as deeply into the screw head as the shorter shanked bit (photo for comparison). Try using this on Sig Sauer optic mounting screws and you’ll probably strip the heads. A real shame, because the 2-inch shank bit is the perfect length for mounting optics.

Very nicley machined Allen bits fit snug which allows proper torque Vs loose fitting bits thay strip out Allen heads over time. Great job..
