Nothing but pleased with the Malone MegaWing kayak rack that I purchased a 2nd pair. These racks work well whether atop our vehicles or on our kayak trailer. Ordered the MegaWing not knowing about the SeaWing, but learned they are same dimensions but differ in their weight carrying capacities. These racks are used to carry a variety of kayaks, an Eddyline and Hurricane sit on top, and do so with ease. These racks are low profile but provide good hull support.

Purchased the Malone MegaWing in error, and happy I did, this kayak rack accessory is awesome. I’m so happy I’ve purchased a second MegaWing. Plan to purchase additional MegaWings to replace the J-Hooks on our Malone kayak trailer. Had been a fan of J-hooks to carry our kayaks, but having used the MegaWing, loading, and strapping our touring kayaks has never been easier. The MegaWing is far quieter on the roof rack without a kayak than any other rack. A plus ‘cause who really likes wind noise when listening to Don Henley or Joe Walsh on the stereo. The MegaWing may have been designed for heavy fishing kayaks, be rest assured that it’ll carry your touring kayak just as well. I find it cradles an Eddyline Sitka and a Hurricane Skimmer very nicely. If you appreciate art atop your vehicle, or are just not a person that removes their kayak rack between paddles, then seriously look at the MegaWing or its little brother the SeaWing. Malone has a real winner here. Been nothing but pleased with the style, ease of use and more importantly the MegaWing is maintenance free - more time to paddle. Huzzah!!
