Love the watch. Its got a premium weight/build, looks amazing, especially with the steel bracelet, and I love the maple leaf applique and tritium gas hour markers/hands.
I removed 1 star because the first unit I received had a faulty movement and didn’t run, but once i shipped it back with a provided shipping label, Marathon’s customer service in Toronto took amazing care of me, and had a replacement piece shipped to my door step within a week.

Very happy with this purchase. Short lugs make it very wearable. I’m rocking the rubber band this winter, will try the bracelet in the warm weather. Great legibility.
My only wish is that someone could figure out a way to include luminescent paint and tritium on a watch. I have a Ball and a Luminox, this white dial is easier to read at a glance than either.
To be clear, this is a thick “tool watch” and doesn’t fit under a shirt cuff very well. It would be easier to wear everyday if it were slimmer.
I’ve admired the SAR series for years, the red maple leaf on the dial and leaf engraving on the clasp finally convinced me to pull the trigger on a Canadian edition to my collection.
Is it worth $2K? That’s hard to say as so few watch makers utilize tritium. There are lots of great, robust watches available for less.
