These are quality boots. For me, they took a minimal amount of breaking in, I wore them at work to get used to them. After that I put some miles on by shed hunting. I think they may be a bit heavier than my previous pair of Salewa’s so that takes some getting used to but they are great quality so I think they may last a little bit longer. Another thing that has taken some time to get used to is the bigger toe box, it’s not uncomfortable but I’m not sold on it yet either. They have great ankle support, I think they’ll be great in the mountains in the fall. Pros: good quality boots, comfortable, minimal break in, good support, have not had any issues with blisters yet, water resistant- feet did not get wet walking through low water crossings Cons: not cheap (but nothing is), feel heavier, toe box is bigger Overall a great quality boot. Would I buy it again? Maybe, I’m not convinced I love the bigger toe box yet on my foot, I personally like a more snug feel.

Very comfortable out of the box. Size matched my athletic shoe size perfectly. Excited to see where these take me.
