Atoms is the very best diamond stone for sharpening I’ve ever used.

More than adequate performance

The Atoma 140 diamond plate is a must have, especially for stone flattening and maintenance. It functions well for edge repairs and setting new edge bevels. To replace diamond sheet, I use either a heat gun or torch over the surface of the plate itself until the plate adhesive becomes loose. Once the plate cools down, I remove the plate and scrape off the remaining adhesive with a razor blade and WD40 and then clean the surface with acetone.
