Vinta Inks - Vesper Blue - Bisperas 1669

This color is lovely but it did not meet my expectations. I think the swatched colors pictured are a bit misleading. I was only able to achieve the effects pictured by using paintbrushes and diluting the colors with water. While the blue color and gold shimmer was spot on, I struggled to reproduce the purplish sheening. The only time I came close was when I used a brush on watercolor paper, then reactivated the color with water after drying. Even after, all I was able to get was a purplish outline at the edge of where the puddled water had been. When I used it with a fine-nibbed dip pen, it had a smooth flow and good longevity from a single dip; I was able to write multiple sentences. While it didn’t look anything like what is pictured, this was where the sheening showed best. I tried it with multiple types of papers as well; it bled through all of them (except the watercolor). I don’t recommend this for fountain pens. It clogged mine.
