Replacing my leaky original heater valve was a job I only wanted to do once, so I went with the deluxe valve. Got it in and it works with no leaks or residual heat coming through in the off position like my old valve. Only issue I had was with the cable clip provided. Had to reuse the original clip.

The heater valve has a lifetime guarantee, so that 's good. It may have clearance problems in some applications because the valve it replaces' lever swings vertical but this swings horizontal. There are ways to make it fit. That would be the last time you have to touch it, it is claimed.
