Tufted Calathea Orbifolia Leaf Pillow

Pillows are very cute and a perfect size to hug / use as a back rest. However, one of them smells quite bad. I’m not sure what it is but I would say it smells like reused vegetable oil. Considered returning but alas, only returns in the original packaging are accepted; how was I supposed to know of the smell before opening?

They arrived in good shape and I look forward to using them.
