Not the best for an older baby

I have a heavy 14 month old and I'd say this is not the handiest with her size. I find it slouches down a lot so I'm constantly re adjusting it and she's so wriggly that it just doesn't feel like I can live life with her in the carrier in the same way that I'm able to with all my other carriers. In my experience a more supported carrier is better for a larger and more wriggly baby as mine just chills out in the more supportive carriers. This style of carrier mimics being held in the arms a bit more, which anyone with a toddler knows that they want to come up and down over and over! It's not easy to get a larger baby in to this carrier either because it is so tight, so the coming up and down over and over is a hassle. Overall I would recommend this carrier for a smaller baby, I think it would have been awesome from 3-9months (I would really recommend it for that age!). But with the price so high, I'm quite sad to have spent so much on a carrier that I realistically won't use.

Love it!

We haven't used it in the water yet, because it's still winter, but we've practiced with it around the house and my little one loves being snuggled up! It feels sturdy, even when my little one is wriggling a bit. It's very comfortable, fo him and for me!

The highlight of my vacation

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Joey water! I took my three month old on vacation and the joey water was our saving grace. I wore him pretty much all day and he was so happy. Carrying him in the joey water allowed me to splash in the kiddie pool with my two year old while my baby snoozed comfortably all wrapped up on me. It even helped keep him cool in the hot Dominican sun! It was perfect and honestly, I could not have imagined doing that trip without it.
