Excellent curtains! No odor, foldable, blocks the light.
Everything they stated is true! It's excellent material... and unlike the vinyl products out there, NO odor, stays cooler to the touch - less, or no heat transfer - and it's fabric, so it is foldable! Minor caveat... we couldn't make a custom size, so there's no way to attach the Velcro where I want it. I'm using the old vinyl cover Velcro, which is attached to the window screens. The Velcro on the Sleepout curtains is stiched, so you can see little DOTS of the stitching when there's sun beaming through the window. Also, there is bleed around the edges, as I can't push them flat enough...but it's not any more or less than the old vinyl panels. We are getting new windows, so I may use the Velcro sections - we bought those as extras - and attempt to attach the curtain along the outside of the window, instead of inside. This may block more light, OR...it'll create leakage... not sure yet. Either way, they're better than the vinyl by FAR, and the elimination of the "cooked vinyl/pvc" odor is great! I also love being able to easily fold or roll-up the panels during the day. They remove easily from the windows, as stitching the Velcro is much stronger than the vinyl panels of just sticking it on. So the only issue, is some bleeding where the panels go inside and can't attach perfectly to the window screen's Velcro patches. But we would match it up differently when we get our new windows in July. Need custom sizing, and would pay more for that. But even with the basics, the concept works. I have not yet tried out the suction cup method...perhaps that will yield better blocking results. Taking screens on and off daily is annoying - little clips...and they'll weaken over time, etc.

So easy to install. I was afraid the suction cup wouldn’t fit under our wooden blinds but it was no trouble at all. We have our grandson Mon-Fri and have a crib in our home office. It’s nice to be able to take the curtain down on Friday after the last nap and no trouble hanging again on Monday.

I was very skeptical but desperate. My bedroom windows were covered with three layers of cheap black out curtains, fleece blankets and more. They worked but what a mess! This simple set up by Sleepout has beed a game changer. They work! Amazingly so. When I first saw them I thought “oh sure. We’ll see”. Went up fast, great fit for my windows. Yes, they aren’t cheap. You get what you pay for - ingenuity. Now to see how they fare against the sun/heat, winter/cold. Im a newby and have just put them up.
