I bought these for my son who is 11 and 4'9" and about 81 lbs, and they fit perfect (12Y) in hips and length (odd because most pants don't fit well in length). I debated the 14Y, but glad I got these, he is more likely to wear them even though i don't know that he will get a year out of them as much as he grows. But he does not like pants at all and he loves these, mostly because they are slim and very very soft.
