Good buying experience but measurements were misleading and a disaster

Had a smooth ordering and fulfillment experience. But that’s where the positives ended for me with this purchase. Was my first sugarcane purchase in a long while. The sizing chart for this particular denim on their website was completely wrong and I got misled into ordering the wrong size. I usually always refer to 3 or 4 different online retailers to align on the size chart for a particular model but this time I missed doing that and paid the price. Unfortunately for me, I did not open the package and try on until 5 days after receipt since I was traveling and I made the dumb decision to take the tags off before trying on. The jeans is atleast 2 sizes bigger on the waist than what their chart indicated. I’m at fault as well for not doing my due diligence dealing with non vanity sizing but a big retailer like BIG should also be cognizant of putting out accurate measurements. Disappointing result and if not for me taking the tags off, I would’ve definitely initiated an exchange.
