Sen Lin 森林 Forest Fairy Modernized Ming Dynasty Liling Top & Easy-Wear Mamian Set

Both skirt and jacket are made well and crafted with attention to detail. I'm about 180 cm tall and the long skirt sits at my natural waist an almost reaches my heel, which was a pleasant surprise. It's also heavy with a nice swoosh to it due to the signature pleating at the waist which hides some pockets! I would've loved to have them anchored at the waist, but they are sturdy nonetheless. The elastic on the waist is heavy-duty and wide enough. The jacket lining is light and airy, doesn't pucker or sag, the hardware has a nice feel to it. Both garments are made out of a velvety corduroy material which seems to be synthetic - that's why I knocked off a star, as the listing says they should be cotton. It isn't stuffy and it does appear to be of high quality, but still - I was a bit dissapointed.

The Sen Lin 森林 set is perfect for a cool spring day! It’ll surely keep you warm as the quality is thick and soft. The inner lining’s pretty design adds a little more oomph when you flip the collar and roll the sleeves. One of best things about the Liling Top and the modern mamian skirt is that they both have pockets! I’m only concerned about what I’ll do if I damage one of the plastic buttons so my only advise to the buyers is to take extra special care when clasping them on and off. Overall, it’s a beautiful and practical set! I can definitely see myself wearing it again and again on multiple occasions whether it be attending parties or doing a simple grocery run. It’s just perfect. Very comfortable, very well made. My only critique is that the skirts elastic band is quite tight, so if you’ve got wider hips or a bigger butt, it’s a bit difficult to get up. The clasps are plastic, but they don't look cheap so I don’t care. I got a size large and I’m a medium to large in US sizing.
