Sheath - iPhone 17 Pro (Open)

One of the best products I've bought this year!

The Sheath was a case I had tried before with my iPhone 15 Pro, and for whatever reason, I didn't vibe with it all that much. When recently picking up a 17 Pro, I decided to go back for another go-around because I really preferred what Caudabe was doing with Camera Control to other case manufacturers. I also liked that there were some options with and without coverage of the camera plateau. My open Eucalyptus model blew my socks off: the whole thing is an incredibly premium experience. It feels so nice in the hand, and the texture is super grippy without being overly sticky. I had issues with the texture previously picking up a ton of lint, but that problem seems much better now than it used to. The color is also gorgeous; the green that was chosen really works well with the simplicity of the silver phone. The faux "antenna lines" make it ever slightly more handsome. It's incredibly refined, allowing it to flex between casual and more professional settings seamlessly without ever feeling like a sore thumb. The biggest improvement, though, is the buttons. These metal buttons are ridiculously good-looking, and they also are excellent at providing good feedback. Camera Control likewise is perfectly responsive, more so than some other cases that cover it with a slightly different material composition. I'm not likely to use the swappable functionality, but it's good to know it's there if I want to change things up, either to match the silver body of the phone or to do some fun color combos. I don't think I'd ever have thought that spending over $50 on a single phone case was a good idea, but comparing it to the previous cases I've used, it feels so worth it because the overall package is effortlessly refined.

Great product. I am returning both as I prefer the Veil to them. I loved both of them, just couldn’t adjust to the weight they came with. I’m not someone who drops my phone, so I’m not concerned. As good of cases as you’ll fine in the market though, both provide a high level of quality.
