It works, but it arrived unwrapped and loose in the box with a saber blade. It appeared to have been assembled hastily as there were glue strands all over it, and the battery had been inserted incorrectly. After cleaning up the excess glue, reinserting correctly, and charging the battery, I inserted the core into an empty hilt. It works as it should. Other than taking 24 days to ship (not the promised 3-6 days), the core works as promised.

I haven't installed this yet, but if this is the same core as their "Alpha" model saber, then it would be great core to build on. I had an "Alpha" and wasn't happy with the hilt, but the core and its functions work fine. I ended up putting that core into my first build and am happy with my "work in progress.""
