Kids and adults just love them! The 5 "Takelma Language Primers" (6 by 6 inches each) are truly historic, because they are part of the /Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe's one-of-a-kind research and education program to reawaken the sleeping words and stories of the Takelma speakers who once lived here. The books help open a window into the culture that lived and thrived here for thousands of years. Each fully illustrated book has basic vocabulary words and pronunciation guides for aspects of life in the Takelma homeland of Southwest Oregon (places, animals, colors, etc.) And they are built to last!
