Eighty Four FR Combat Balaclava

After a year of use + new & old comparison

I purchased my first eighty four balaclava (tan 499) a little over a year ago for work. After trying it on, I had a few nit picks. The fit was kinda loose, not quite dead bird loose, but loose enough that if I yawned or bumped up against something it would come off my face. I also thought the eye box was a tad too big. Despite my complaints I continued to wear it because it did what I needed it to do. Then I bought my second eighty four balaclava (wolf gray) and all my complaints were seemingly addressed. The fit was tighter, no longer did I have to keep adjusting it. The eye box was smaller, so my sideburns weren't peaking out from the corners anymore. I was genuinely impressed! Sometime between when I bought my first balaclava and now, Ivan must have dialed in the measurements and made it significantly better. I still use both, but the tan one is showing signs of wear so I use it less than the wolf gray. Pretty good piece of kit, do recommend grabbing a few.

It's awesome for summer and tropical weather

I was able to use recently on a training exercise on tropical weather and what i like the most is it's ability to absorb sweat and moisture and at the end of the day it was practically dry, I might buy another one

FR Balaclava

Simply Capital!! Craftsmanship is excellent and fit is perfect! The material is great for here in South Texas with temperatures hitting 115!! Very pleased with both items!
