Smooth calipers

I like the fact that these calipers don't rely on electronics to work. I am guessing they could last a lifetime rather than maybe 10 years. I also like that they have both imperial and metric scales. They are smoother than the ones I used before (which, unfortunately, I seem to have lost). I need less force to start them sliding. Consequently, I find it easier to adjust them to the right width for the item I am measuring.
