Above Basement Wall Between Floor Joists
We used the closed cell foam insulation in our basement. We actually did 2 houses with the 600 board foot product. We were worried about clogging the tips so we bought extra. We thought the fan tips would work better so we bought more of those. We found that the process worked great, we did not need to worry about the tips clogging as much as we thought, even when we transported the product between houses and started it back up again. We also did not even use any of the fan tips as the cone tip worked perfect for our application. The only negative we found is that the tip does drip a little bit so we used cardboard on the floor but we still had spots where the foam got on stuff, but that was easy clean up and not a big deal.

Cone Nozzle Tips
I wish it would have said it in the instructions, but my most important recommendation for uninterrupted spray is to coat the nozzle tip with Vaseline also. The excess foam will not stick to it and it can be easily wiped away. Know that over time, the Vaseline will diminish and a new nozzle will need to be inserted. [NOTE: The tanks and the hose sat for over a week until the replacement nozzles were delivered. Even after sitting for that long, I was able to pick up from where I left off and started applying the spray foam without any issues. That was a relief!]
