The customary design was so beautiful. Being half Samoan and Maori I wanted to represent both my sides. I asked Hiria and team if they could incorporate my late Grandmothers siapo (tapa cloth) she has had for many years into the korowai. It was only a week in a half till the big day but the team said they were able to do it. They said Alfred would do overtime to get it over the line. The Korowai was the talk of the day and I was glad to represent both my aiga and whanau especially my Grandparents. Keep up the good work and making these beautiful taongas.
