Just picked these up last week to replace the noisy J pickup. At first, I was going just to replace the J pickup, but Max came through with a home run and had these available. Extremely fast shipping got them to me for Saturday night's show. WOW! No noise at all but tone for miles. Thank you FBT, for your stellar service!!! Have had these a few weeks now. Very nice tone live. Pedal board pretty much set flat with minor little tweaks. My go to bass now for everything.

Great Modern P/J sound

For reference, I have these installed in a passive bass. Fantastic pickups with the most immediate response of any set I've played through. They have a decidedly modern take on the classic P/J sounds and have a sound resembling a mid scooped active bass when both run wide open. There are probably better pickups if you're looking for period correct vintage sounds, but if you're here, that's probably not what you're looking for anyway. They are pricey, but are worth every cent to my ears.
