Can't beat Lard for an incredible golden color and perfect crisp

I most recently used Lard to make homemade sopapillas. Using it in place of vegetable shortening in the dough made for silky, pillowy sopapillas. Frying them in Lard created the perfect, golden color. Utter perfection inside and out.

I love this lard!!! No taste so I can make pie crust or fry in it. The best!!!
