Holstein 1 Star B-Stock Violin Bow
I took a chance and bought a Holstein 1 Star bow that was discounted to B-stock price. It arrived quickly and was undamaged. The bow had a slight warp to the left and was marked as "B" stock because of this. The item description described B stock bows as having a slight defect that could include warpage, scratches, finish issues, knots or any other minor problems that keep the item as being sold as perfect condition. It plays just fine and I honestly don't notice the slight warp in the bow. However these newer Holstein 1 star bows seem to be of lesser quality then the one I bought several years ago. I guess there is a newer source for the manufacture of the new ones. The price was still a good deal and these B stock bows are great for a second or spare bow in your violin case.
