Like you and other have said, "Don't try setting these Putange Traps without a tool as they are too strong and need some kind of set tool !" This setting tool is both a lever and then a pliers to further open the traps for a safe and more exact installation of the trigger. They are simple, well made and will last... one reason I have three pairs is because I am probably going to loose one or two. Another reason, I like good tools and will probably pass on a set to a good friend as they borrow some of my traps to try.
