Sew Magnetic Cutting System - Expanded Kit

I rarely write reviews but in this case, I have to! I LOVE this product. It has cut my prep time in HALF when I make a garment. No pinning, no scissors. I just lay out my pattern, secure with the magnets and zip a long with my rotary cutter. Pinning and using scissors would many times distort the measurements when cutting. I have precise pieces with the Sewtites. The magnets hold the pattern but still allow me to mark darts and lines when I need to. The learning curve in actually using the magnets and the magnetic rulers was minimal. Within one pattern cutting, I got the feel for the magnets and rulers (popping them up, setting aside, maneuvering around). For the large ruler, getting under it to pop it up was at first an issue. I attached my hardware store suction shower handle and all I have to do is tilt the ruler to break the hold and move it to a new location with the handle. I also quilt and the fabric stays put when I need to cut tiny pieces. It even helps steady my Stripology rulers when I cut multiple layers.

This cutting system has really improved my cutting! It’s now so much more accurate and faster!

I marveled at the engineering and use of this new method to cut fabric with assurance that the magnets working with the mat would hold a piece of fabric in place quite nicely. Cutting dressmakers silk is never easy but the magnets held the fabric securely for cutting. I showed my friend who is a pastel artist and a sometime quilter my new mat and she immediately said she needed to have that mat as it would be very useful cutting paper for her art projects.
