Anna Ultralight Trail Pant in Kelp Green Ripstop

Stylish and comfortable, but not quite as expected

I was so excited to receive these pants, and overall I am pleased. I had very high expectations due to online recommendations and the price point, but was left a little wanting. I ordered up a size to be safe with a 28" inseam as my torso is quite short (I am 5'2", 130lbs, rectangle/spoon body type, usually size 4 in pants). These pants were not built for a curvier frame and fit me a little awkwardly- starting to get snug in the butt, but loose in the crotch. A little snug in the thigh but lots of spare room in the waist. Almost a bit too short? I'm not quite sure where they are supposed to sit on me. Some of the diagonal seams above the knee began to unpick a bit on the first day. All that being said, the pants are comfy and stylish. I love the pockets and fabric color. I am taking them hiking first, and then will wear them to job sites especially as it gets warmer. I will probably try more of what dovetail has to offer. I value a brand that treats women's (non-scrub) work pants as it's focus, not an afterthought.

These are my go to, let’s be honest, my only pants in the summer. I wear them to work everyday (outside in the forest), I wear them hiking on the weekends and all the things in between. They are comfortable, quick drying and the pockets are fantastic for all the things. I have multiple pairs of both the green and gray and just wish there were more options to diversify my wardrobe.

Sizing issues

I love Dovetail pants and need new replacements, but these days the inconsistency with the cut of the pants and the lack of available sizes has made it impossible for me to find what I need. I have been checking the site since last year hoping my size would be available in the styles that I needed. I have always worn a size 4 X 32" and what used to be a size 4 now fits like a 6. I sent back a size 4 and bought a size 2 and those fit in the legs like my old size 4, but the waist size was tight and I worried they would shink so they went back as well. I'd order two new pairs today if I could get something that fit like my older pants.
