I bought a set of sheets and the first several washings they were soft but not cottony soft. With each successive washing they have quickly become my favorites. I bought another high end brand of sheets and they were awful, sound and felt like plastic bags. Advertised as comfortable in hot weather, they were the opposite. I went back and bought another set from Boll and Branch. Never rough or scratchy, breathable, comfortable on the hottest days. They are spendy, slightly too large for my bed so require a little extra tucking, but they are worth it.

Theses sheets just get softer and softer each time you wash them.
