So much more than I bargained for….
I cannot emphasis enough how amazing these journals are. I initially purchased based off seeing the ads in my instagram feed. While I knew it was part planner part journal, my drive to purchase was more based on the planner portion. Boy was I wrong. Yes this is a planner but this so much more! The journaling and insight it has helped me gain about myself is priceless. The digital aspect is great, especially when getting started, because there is no fear of messing it up, you can just delete it and try again. It worked great in a few different annotation apps that I use on my iPad.

A Gentle Light in Hard Seasons — Silk & Sonder Showed Up When I Needed It Most
I'll be honest — I almost didn't give it a real chance. Between managing caregiving responsibilities for my mother and navigating the daily fog of Long COVID, even the idea of sitting down with a journal felt like one more thing on an already impossible list. But Silk & Sonder changed that for me, and I'm so grateful it did. What surprised me most within just three days was how thoughtfully the prompts are structured. They don't demand a lot from you all at once. Instead, they gently guide you back to yourself — to what actually matters, what you're working toward, and what small, real steps you can take today. For someone dealing with caregiver burnout, that kind of quiet, non-judgmental nudge is everything. The layout is beautiful without being overwhelming, and the goal-setting framework felt genuinely human — not like a productivity app barking tasks at you, but like a trusted friend helping you remember your own intentions. I found myself completing goals I'd been putting off for weeks, not because I was pushing through exhaustion, but because I actually wanted to show up for myself again. If you're in a hard season or era -whether that's chronic illness, caregiving, burnout, or just feeling lost — I want you to know that this journal meets you exactly where you are. It doesn't ask you to be more than you are today. It just helps you take one small, meaningful step. And sometimes, that's the whole world.

Digital or Paper?
I’ve used this paper planner for years. Quite possibly as long as it has been around. Going digital over the last couple of years, this was the last item that I switched from paper to digital. The paper planner has so many benefits; it’s portable and easy to carry in your purse, it’s so beautifully done that motivates you to take some extra care when using, pages that I may not use, I could supplement with something else such as an Expense chart I saved from an earlier planner. The list goes on. While I really wanted them to come out with digital, I was concerned it would lose its appeal. I will always love paper over digital, But, I like being able to have everything on my tablet. So I made the switch! Silk & Sonder did a superb job with the digitized version. I did go with the 3-month plan initially because I wanted to test the water. I’ve since converted to the annual digital subscription for the planner. Enjoy!
