Perfect Gift
This was my second pen from Tactile Turn. I gave it as a retirement gift to my father-in-law. He absolutely loves it and thinks it’s incredible. The precision of the turning is excellent, and the finishing technique is ideal for someone who prizes rugged durability done flawlessly. The perfect gift.

Tactile Turn continues to impress me, even owning 11 of them now!
Tactile Turn squarely understands their market. I also no few companies where you can get a reply from the owner/head designer/jack-of-all-trades, as you can with them. Their pens continue to display remarkable craftsmanship, a fair (for what you're getting, certainly) price point, and continues advocacy to the pen community at large. For this old man, I can only use TT's "slim" pens and I only wish they offered even smaller diameters. There are SO many great pens, from numerous manufacturers, that go 10-11mm and that IS a deal breaker to me, being raised my entire life on Cross pens and their very slim profile. To add to my quirkiness, I prefer a Uni One or Signo refill and that's not negotiable either. Not saying I don't own an Anso or two (I do) but they utilize the Parker-style refill. And argument could be made to Uni that if they'd put the One's superlative black ink in a Parker refill (as they did on the Jetstream) they'd open entirely new horizons to collectors. But I digress. Will and crew make some of my favorite pens. They are well made and worth every penny. The stonewashed titanium is a perennial favorite of mine as it doesn't hardly ever exhibit any issues, it' just works. If I had only two things to add to their repertoire, it would be to add a true "click" pen (top knock) and some serious knurling. TT's gnurling is a work of art, but it's so mild, it's not "grippy" to me. I'd love some more aggressive texturing...they almost had it perfect on the Carryology Limited Edition, but even it could use more depth. As is obvious, I'm a fan. Wonderful company, fantastic products, and they stand behind them.

Great. Pen.
Minor gripes first: I wish it shipped with the uni-ball refill, but that’s 100% just personal preference. The action is slightly gritty at first, but it is smoothing out nicely. The clip is TIGHT. I carry it in the right front pocket of my jeans, so there’s no problem making that work, but it utterly defeats any shirt pocket material that I’ve tried it on. All that said, it’s an utter dream to use. This is my 4th Tactile Turn pen (first one purchased in 2015!), and by far my favorite. Slim, Short, and Stonewashed are the way to go for me. A tiny bit more of a gap between the clip and barrel is the only thing that could improve this at this point. I may sand the underside of the clip a hair or two, as a matter of fact.
