Works perfectly easy install

My first time swapping screens and it turned out great. Initially they left part of the screen order out but HHL customer service got me the part I needed. They were quick and professional and didn’t give me any issues. 5 stars. The screen looks and works perfectly.

Very nice after a small amount of tweaking.

As was said in another review, I had to very lightly sand the button contacts to get the buttons to respond well. Other than that, it was pretty easy to install and looks great. Definitely a good way to salvage a DMG with a damaged screen that I got mostly for its shell to restore my childhood original. Sadly my phone camera didn't do the screen color justice. In person the setting I have it on is a pretty close color match to a stock DMG screen and is a more yellow-green color than the lime green the photo shows, although there is a setting that matches that color as well.

Product needs revisions

I actually got the same problem like the other reviewer on this product. The other reviewer Jay. I installed the IPS panel on my own set gameboy, worked for 2.5 days. Tried to play some Tetris on the Gameboy, only to meet a horrible static whine from the speaker that I soldered onto it. Authentic Nintendo Gameboy speaker mind you. I've tried to solve this issue myself, thinking it was a bad cable seating, or mayhaps the batteries being at fault. No matter what angle I tried to solve the issue, it still produced no backlight, and no visible screen pixels. Very disappointed. Would not recommend buying this IPS model if it becomes unsuable in two days in a half.
