Let me start by saying that I really like the OTB boots. They are comfortable and seem to be very rugged/tough. I have worn them almost every day for the last couple of weeks either on duty, for training, or just with my civvies. The only reason I deducted one star was because of sizing issues. I have always worn 10.5 and have narrow feet. I had purchased the ankle height boot in that size at regular width and it was just too small. The 11.5 W fit perfectly. I gifted the pair I couldn't wear to another deputy. I will probably get another pair in a different color in the future!

The initial fit was a bit much, understandably the material was brand new but it did chafe eventually. Prior to getting a good fit, I was wearing them "dry", as in just wearing them around, not really putting them through the rigors. But as soon as I got them soaked through and they had a chance to dry, they fit pretty well. Still a bit of an issue with chafing at the back of the heel ,but again, understandable for there is a good amount of material to the 8 inch version. All around good foot wear, just a little bit of a time to break them in, at least for me. Definitely recommend if you have an occupation that requires you to basically dive into mud (Waterjets require cleaning sometimes)
