Well worth the drive from Northern Virginia to Edible Landscaping. Always a relaxing drive. Staff is happy with their employment and that makes the plants happy! We have never lost a plant purchased from Edible Landscaping. We will be back!

Looking great so far but it is still quite small

I found you after searching for Michigan Bulb (now defunct).  The reason I mention this is:  I was expecting two 4" sticks, like M.B. sent when I ordered Hawthorne(s) years ago. I had intended to order 2 of each from you but noticed that shipping was more than expected for 4 sticks so I cut back 2. I was home the day of the delivery, just imagine when I saw the delivery approaching in long white box.  Pleasantly surprised, I immediately opened and began carefully removing the LIVE plants. Far from sticks.  Both these living specimens had GREEN BEAUTIFUL LEAVES & STEMS.  The day they arrived here in Zone 8a it was sunny and  around 77 deg.   I got them straight away into planters for wintering.   Some days latter the leaves did fall off,  but I keept thakeing them back out into the warm sun and indoors at night.   The BLACKBERRY is aggressively repopulating its stem with leaves that grow lager and more numerous every day and the Chicago already had two or three nice fresh signs of stem growth on the ends, revealed after the leaves fell off.   Last night I watched some YT videos about the Chic. and learned about DORMANT states and how wintering indoors may cause that to end early.  Obviously this  is my first handling both of these. I feel really lucky because I didn't know the name of the fig tree I was looking for so when I landed on your site and started searching I recognized it from the photo. 18 years ago I got to eat some right off a nearby fig tree that was destroyed when someone bought that property.  I have been seriously craving them every since!! Your homepage makes it very easy for me to discover all the editable that can be grown in my region, so rest assured I will be returning with confidence for more.   I use hydroponics for my patio vegetable garden and welcome this great new oppturnity to learn & expand into an exciting new area.
