Anova Precision® Cooker Pro

Not happy

I was under the impression that this would work with WiFi. It will but it must be 2. 4. My WiFi is 5. 0. So it will not work for me like I thought it would. Other than that it’s great.

Frozen Screen During Wi-Fi Setup – Completely Unusable

I had high expectations for the Anova Precision Cooker Pro, but unfortunately it has been a huge disappointment. During the initial Wi-Fi setup, the cooker froze completely. After restarting, the display only shows a “+” symbol and becomes totally unresponsive. The unit cannot be used, cannot reconnect to Wi-Fi, and there is no way to recover it. What’s even more frustrating is that this is already a replacement unit, and it developed the exact same problem during Wi-Fi setup. This suggests a firmware or software issue rather than an isolated hardware defect. For a premium sous vide cooker at this price point, this level of reliability is unacceptable. A failed Wi-Fi setup should never be able to permanently brick the device. Until Anova fixes this issue, I cannot recommend the Precision Cooker Pro. I purchased this model for its premium features, but instead ended up with two unusable units. Extremely disappointing.

Anova Precision Pro

This device is amazing. I have been with Anova since the start, with their First Gen Anova Pro, and then 2 of the first gen Nano devices. Was able to run mutiple dishes at the same time. And also cook large gatherings with mutiple anovas in a huge chillybin of water. They lasted for many years and did a lot of work. This new Pro is so much more powerful it will take over from all of them and do large meals. Loving it.
