Weatherproof Enclosure for Ring Contact Sensor (2nd Gen)

Works and fits very well!

Fits the Gen 2 Ring Contact sensor perfectly. Unlike the Ring Outdoor sensor, I have zero concern about this falling/popping off my fence now. These have small rubber gasket/seal in there as well so I don't see water getting in.

Bought 3 sets of the Ring enclosure and have mounted 2 already. The sensors fit perfectly into the enclosures, and the enclosures' finish make them look nice on the gates (not an eyesore of an attachment). Still early days, so trusting they are truly waterproof and work well. Overall, a great purchase experience with this seller. Would recommend the product to anyone looking for a cost-effective alternative to getting the Ring outdoor sensor.

Great alternative to Ring's outdoor sensors

I wanted to put contact sensors on our two gates (not to trigger the alarm, but just to alert us when the gates are opened). I bounced back and forth on whether to spring for the fairly expensive (and also reportedly somewhat troublesome, at least in terms of the tamper switch) Ring outdoor contact sensors, or utilize the existing extra indoor contact sensors I had left over, using some kind of small project box to enclose the sensor or find some other way to waterproof it. I was happy to stumble onto this product, which is a much more elegant solution. I'm not absolutely convinced about the waterproofness of them, so I added a bead of silicone lubricant around where the two sections meet, hopefully the sensors will stay dry! One nice little thing about these is that there is a faint marking on the exterior that indicates where the flat side of the sensor inside is located.
