Well made, great fit, warm

These Ion Neo 2/1 gloves were bought mainly for winter sea swimming. They're tight on the wrist and hand as it's important they don't fill with water and go sloshy. They keep their shape very well when wet and keep hands and fingers warm, even though they're the thinnest Ion gloves. The long wrists fit snugly, which seems to help keep Reynaud's fingers at bay. The lining helps when putting the gloves on, feels warm, is very comfortable and hardwearing. The palms are grippy for paddles and oars, but also help keep the gloves in shape when swimming. Being tight to get on and off means they have to be well-made and the strong seams are still completely intact in the first pair bought two years ago, despite frequent use and being machine washed after every swim.
