Thicker than other modal shirts

I fell in love with modal shirts, but am awkwardly between small and medium in other brands that tend to run thin as they are primarily comprised of modal. 7Diamonds Modal is mostly cotton, which makes it a bit thicker and more "normal" for daily wear both in presentation and true sizing.

Great fit and the material feels so comfortable. I usually where a large, but was recommended to purchase a medium. I am 6'2 with a lean build and I very happy with the way this shirt fits me. It has stretch, but not in a way that makes you think cheap.

Medium - Black Modal Tee

Cut and collar is not ideal. I have this exact shirt in white, and the cut is much longer, and the collar is looser. How is this possible, being from the same line and material? The reason I decided not to exchange or return is that I know the large size will be too long and look goofy on me. I choose to take the lost and keep the medium.
