Good while is lasts

Works really well for a while giving me perfectly clear vision on the rainiest of days. However, at some point mine somehow let moisture penetrate inside and then it was worse than without it. The moisture is still inside (even after having it dry out in the garage for 3 weeks while I was away on vacation.) The moisture inside causes the view to be distorted and it's affecting my rearward vision through the camera significantly as the guild lines in the video feed no longer reflect reality. I was very careful to install it in late August after a long dry spell so that it would be dry inside and so that I could maximize the time in the winter (our wet season) that it would be of use. It lasted until about December, but our wet season lasts through to May, so I would have to use at least 2 of these each year. At least the price has come down, so now buying one again is something I would consider, but I would still think it better if they sold them in packs of 2 or more at a reduced cost. What I can't figure-out now is how to remove it.

This Is A Game-Changer!

This is an absolute game changer. I'm the type of person who only ever remembers to write a review when it's awful or great. This one is great! For how ridiculously overpriced Tesla's are, I was super frustrated by the quality of the backup camera. It was CONSTANTLY unusable because it would be covered with dust (spring, summer, and fall) or salt (winter). It also would be useless in the dark, because I believe substances on it were throwing off the exposure sensors. All that said, I finally caved and gave this a shot. I was honestly skeptical and had debated for months. I should have done it sooner. My camera is CONSTANTLY crystal clear. Why Tesla doesn't include something like this by default is beyond me. I've read countless threads about other people with the same experience. I purchased mine Jan 14, 2025 and it is now April 4, 2025. It has not fallen off or "deteriorated" (as some other people have reported). That said, I went from driving nearly 100 miles daily for work to now working a remote job. I drive much less, but still easily take several small trips a week. It has been threw rain, snow, changing whether, multiple car washes, etc. No issues yet! Even if it pizzles out later this year, they note that in the product description. I'd gladly by another one. Does it seem overpriced for a people of plastic. Yup! However, it's about the value it brings, and having a clear backup cam is priceless for me, since I have to back into my driveway and garage. Thanks, Abstract Ocean! I'll be checking out more products in the future!
