Poor QC
I will not bash Roka, we are not all perfect and I understand we make mistakes. Roka makes great products but this one fell off a little. First off i will say the detail on the cars is great, the only 2 issues that I have as far as detail goes is the weld seams. I handle these cars daily and the weld seams on the model are by far too exaggerated. I have thought about fixing it but my method would require stripping the car down and doing a lot of sanding and filling to make it look right and therefore in my eyes is just not worth the time. The second detail thing to note was the misspelling of liquified. Simple fix but for the price of the car something that simple shouldn't have happened. Moving to QC issues right out of the box i noticed an oily substance in quite a few places around on the car and plenty of fingerprints on the railcar, easy fix but for 65 dollars that’s unacceptable. I know the issue is now being addressed but the weight is a problem. It should have never shipped without being addressed first. Besides all the issues I don’t mind the car, would I buy one again, no. Once again I won’t bash Roka or any of their products as they do make great railcars, but this one is just a miss.

Mixed
If it was weighted to NMRA standards I'd be a lot happier with it. The spirals are a little thick and liquified is misspelled. The rumor mill says the weight was a factory defect. It kinda looks like quality checks weren't quite there with this batch as they seemed to be with the GATC tanks. Hopefully that will improve, given the price point of the model you need to keep the standards up with the appropriate competitors at that price point.

Disappointed
These are beautiful tank cars. The down side is that it weighs 2oz too light. There is no way to add additional weight. My first purchase from Roka.
