It took a while to deliver, however they suppose to be made per order, so it's understandable. The shoes themselves look and feel incredible, absolutely stunning !! The only concern is how long they're gonna last, but they seem to be very well made. They were not cheap, but are definitely worth the price.

Good but....
Used for dog walking through fields and woodland. I was surprised that after 1.5 hours walking through long, dewy grass; thereby ensuring the leather got pretty wet both outside and inside, my feet had remained dry when I took them off. I guess the leather retained the wet rather than pass it on. I imagine walking in rain would not have the same results. Also I'm guessing that wearing socks would mean wet feet. These shoes are perfectly comfortable bare foot... but not in winter, I guess. I was also surprised at how well the shoes kept traction on wet grass and also on dry soil. However I discovered that walking on a stubbled field from a freshly cut crop was lethal... I slipped and fell hard. I assume this was down to oils exuding from the stubble. My area is also based on a clay subsoil and wet clay is lethal in any kind of footwear. So wearing these shoes on clay soil when it's wet is a no-no. Learning which surfaces are unsuitable is an ongoing process. I have been wondering whether a very small, say, 5mm heel with a tiny strip of something akin to a metal grip on the inside ledge of the heel might work to secure better traction without compromising the barefoot aspect. Or even a small metal grip across the width of a flat sole?
