El Patron 75 30x Cowboy Hat

When I first opened the box and tried it on I was very disappointed, the hat was pretty tight and I didn’t want to hassle with a return. I took a chance, and used an antique hat stretcher and a steamer and managed to get it to fit perfectly. I own several Stetson hats and they are all 7 1/4. I don’t understand why the Patron should be any different. Maybe they run small, maybe just a fluke? It’s a beautiful hat, very stiff and thick. At this price range, probably not a daily wearer for me, but more of a special occasion hat. If you can, I highly recommend trying one on before purchase, if not, you might want to go one size larger.
