Greater transparency around how pricing supports the makers—beyond general fair‑trade language—would help customers more fully understand and feel confident about the premium cost. Overall, these are high-quality, thoughtfully made pieces that enhance a home and support artisan communities. With clearer communication around wage practices and value distribution, they would feel even more aligned with Goodee’s strong ethical brand promise.

On a recent trip to Africa, my wife searched for placemats but could not find any, so I surprised her with a set from Baba Tree/Goodee when we got home. She loves them . . . so much so that we immediately ordered another set for friends. They are well made and absolutely beautiful, and it feels good to support the people and communities who create such exquisite and useful products.
